Ren-Flex started 6 years ago when Tommy du Sart (CEO of the Ren-Form Group) saw the need in the South African market for local production of flexible packaging, focusing on In-Mould Labels. Originally Ren-Flex was producing IML labels on the Vision offset press, this became increasingly more costly as brands demanded shorter runs with quicker turnaround times. This is what sparked the idea for Tommy du Sart to invest in a Digital Production Press. After rigorous investigations and countless demonstrations, Tommy decided to opt for the HP Indigo 20000. The latter being the first HP Indigo 20000 launched in Africa, and the only HP Indigo 20000 dedicated to print In-Mould Labelling in the world. The HP Indigo 20000 allows for shorter runs, faster turn-around time and a world of marketing possibilities for innovative packaging.
